“Of course I won’t hate you.  Sometimes I might get frustrated and angry but I won’t hate you,” he promised.

Aria nodded, a small smile on her face. “Right then. I can work with that. Thank you sir. That really…I know it doesn’t seem like much but it really means a lot to me. I promise I’ll try not to cause too much trouble.”

Haresh nodded. “That’s all I ask.  Now are you girls hungry?”

“A little,” Rani admitted.

“Aria?” Gita asked.

Aria nodded shyly. “Yeah. Time…I mean…the flight here was a little rough. I’m starving,” she confessed with a small laugh. 

“What are you in the mood for?  You’re our guest so you get to choose,” Gita insisted.

“Oh no! I couldn’t possibly intrude! I know family dinners are kind of a uh…thing around here. I wouldn’t want to intrude on that. Besides, Luke will be home soon and he and Clyde are apparently bringing takeout. I figure I should probably get meeting my sort of brother out of the way. I’m kinda nervous about it, you know? Wouldn’t want to not get along with him. That would make things difficult, and Sarah Jane doesn’t deserve that.”

Analeigh looked up as she saw the girl walk towards her. She sized her up, trying to see if she was an enemy or not. Deciding to give her the benefit of the doubt for now, she walked towards her. “Can I help you?” 

Aria spotted the girl from a distance and recognized the energy pattern immediately. She could always spot a sibling. Their energy patterns were so distinctive, unlike anyone else’s in the Universe. She hadn’t met this girl before though, so she had to be careful. “Right! Hello there! Sorry for bothering you! I was just wondering if you could tell me where and when I am? I’m afraid I got a little lost! Big Universe, you know?”

“2013 New York. Time travelling can be a bitch sometimes” Analeigh answered. “I’m Analeigh Pond. Now who are you?” she questioned the girl, still not sure if she could trust her. But maybe, Analeigh dared to hope since this girl was time traveler she had heard of her mysterious parents

Aria chuckled and nodded knowingly. “Analeigh Pond eh? Yeah that’s kinda what I figured. ” She looked around her. “I can’t believe I didn’t recognize New York. Must be an off day. After all, you’d think someone would recognize the place they grew up.” She sighed and shrugged a bit before turning back to her sister with a knowing smirk. “I’m Aria, Aria Pond. Pleasure to meet you Analeigh.”

“Pond?!” Analeigh said shocked. Could just be a coincidence or maybe this was her family. Or it could always be a trap. “Your mother… she doesn’t happen to be named Melody does she?”  

Aria nodded. “Yep. That’d be her. No one really calls her that anymore though. Well, except for Dad sometimes and me when I’m mad at her…and of course Nan and Granddad. Sorry, rambling. Get that from Dad definitely! Hello sis! Nice to meet you!”

“Hello love, I’m Rose.”

Aria looked up at the woman in awe. “I…wait…wait? Like…Rose Tyler, Rose? Like…you’re actually really, properly Rose Tyler?” Her face lit up but then furrowed in confusion. “Or are you some other Rose? Sorry…I just…if you’re Rose Tyler…I’ve always wanted to meet you. You’re kind of my hero.”

Aria arched her eyebrows. “Meet me? Right so we haven’t actually met then.” She nodded before extending her hand to Clara with a grin. “Hi there Clara Oswald! I’m Aria Pond, pleasure to have you meet me? So…when are you then? Still traveling with the Doctor? Wait…that…that has happened right? You know who he is?”

Haresh walked over and sat down next to her as well.  “Aria, I can tell that you want to make a fresh start, but with all that you have been through that might not happen overnight  You still may get angry and lash out.  Everything is going to take time.”

Aria turned her gaze to Haresh, letting his words sink in. They made sense, and they provided her with an immense sense of comfort. She gave him a small smile and nodded. “Right. Yeah…you’re totally right. I…so you won’t hate me if I get in trouble a lot? As long as I’m trying to get better?”
